His Unwavering Word

Art, to me, serves as a visual embodiment of scripture, enriching our surroundings with its eloquent narrative. My creations abound in symbolism, intricately weaving the essence of scriptures into each piece. These artworks, distinctive in their expression, not only serve as poignant reminders of divine teachings but also spark meaningful conversations, inviting others to engage with the profound beauty of God's Word.

This piece is based off of one of my favorite scriptures.

Isaiah 40:8 declares, "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever." This profound verse captures the transient nature of life juxtaposed against the eternal constancy of God's word. It reminds us of the fleetingness of earthly things—how beauty fades, seasons change, and circumstances evolve. Yet, amidst this transience, the enduring truth of God's word remains unwavering, timeless, and steadfast. It serves as an anchor in the midst of life's uncertainties, offering hope, guidance, and a source of unchanging truth in a world marked by change. Isaiah 40:8 calls us to lean on the enduring promises and wisdom found within the eternal word of God.

Within this piece, I depict the gradual withering of grass and fading of flowers, mirroring the poignant imagery articulated in Isaiah 40:8. In Hebrews 4:12, the scripture is likened to a two-edged sword, and thus, I fashioned a resolute sword amidst the ailing foliage, symbolizing its enduring strength and unwavering truth.

This piece was created with wood stain and ink on a beautiful birch panel. It is ready to hang and measures approximately 16"x20".
